Holly’s current projects are recruiting, affirmative action, mill rotation, canstruction construction (local charity event focused on a creative can food drive), and local daily HR responsibilities.

Holly has a MA in Industrial organization from Western Kentucky University.

“The MA program has allowed me to get a good feel for the dynamics of Gerdau Ameristeel. While the MA program provides all of us with guidelines, it is up to each individual to manage his/her own program to best suit their needs. This program is meant to be a personal growth period, so don’t be afraid to take chances, make mistakes, challenge yourself and others, but above all have some fun.”

As a MA in MAP, Chris has been involved in a wide range of projects that entail daily operations of the steel mill, annual action plans and CAPEX projects.

Chris has a degree in Materials Engineering and Management from McMaster University in Hamilton and had a Six Sigma black belt.

"After completing my degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering at North Carolina State University, it was time for me to choose a company in which to launch my professional career. Upon completing an internship at the Gerdau Ameristeel Charlotte Mill, I knew I had found a company that is using cutting edge technology to solidify itself as a leader in the steel industry."

"Now that I have entered the Management Associate Program, I am being introduced to numerous elements in the steelmaking process, along with being able to see a variety of different career paths in which I could pursue after completion of the program."
