Metal Forming Capabilities & Process

Our TRUMPF TruBend 3066 delivers 66 metric tons of bending force with a 6-axis backgauge for complex multi-bend geometries, while our TruBend 2100 presses provide additional capacity for high-volume production runs — together delivering up to 110 tons of forming capability at our Warren, MI facility. CNC-controlled crowning automatically compensates for deflection, ensuring consistent bend angles across the full 120-inch bed length. We form hot rolled steel, cold rolled steel, galvanized steel, galvannealed steel, stainless steel (304, 316, 409/410), and aluminum (3003, 5052, 6061) in thicknesses from .018" thin-gauge sheet to .250" plate. Our forming capabilities include box and pan forming, channel forming, angle bending, hem bending, offset bending, and radius forming with tolerances of ±0.010" on standard bends and ±0.005" on precision applications.

Our PEMserter Series 4 handles in-line hardware insertion — press-fit studs, nuts, and standoffs — directly after forming, so parts leave our Warren press brake department ready for welding or assembly. We also offer drilling, tapping, countersinking, and deburring services. By combining press brake forming with our in-house laser cutting, welding, and powder coating, AmeriSteel eliminates the need for multiple vendors — reducing lead times, lowering costs, and maintaining quality control from start to finish. Most standard forming jobs ship within 5–10 business days, with expedited turnaround available for urgent production schedules.
