You need specific material grades, often in small quantities, with fast turnaround and the flexibility to adjust specifications as your design evolves. AmeriSteel specializes in meeting these needs from our Fraser, MI service center. We can supply prototype quantities of hot rolled steel, cold rolled steel, galvanized, galvannealed, aluminized, and stainless steel — cut to your required dimensions on our blanking line or laser cutting equipment. Need a single sheet of 16-gauge cold rolled? We can do that. Need 50 blanks in a specific automotive grade for a prototype run? We handle that too. If we don't have a specific grade in stock, our steel brokering team can source it quickly from our mill network.

Our prototype steel service pairs naturally with our fabrication capabilities at our Warren facility. Many customers source their prototype material from us and then have us laser cut, form, weld, and coat their prototype parts — all coordinated between our Fraser and Warren facilities with one point of contact.
