Powder Coating Capabilities & Process
Our Parker Ionics electrostatic powder coating system at our Warren facility features a 5-stage pre-treatment process: alkaline wash, rinse, iron phosphate conversion coating, rinse, and a final seal rinse — ensuring maximum adhesion on every part before powder is applied. Parts are then electrostatically coated and cured in our convection oven at 350°F–400°F for 10–20 minutes depending on coating thickness and powder type.
For outdoor and high-corrosion applications, we offer a dual-coat process: a primer coat followed by a topcoat, delivering total film builds of 4.0–6.0 mils for superior UV and weather resistance. Our sandblast cabinet handles rust removal, mill scale, and surface profiling for parts that need mechanical prep before coating. Standard single-coat applications achieve 2.0–3.0 mils of film thickness.
