The transition from prototype to production is one of the riskiest phases in product development. Switching suppliers between proto and production introduces drawing interpretation errors, tooling inconsistencies, and quality surprises when it matters most. For prototype work, we prioritize speed and flexibility. There are no minimum order quantities — if you need two prototype parts, we'll make two. Our team reviews your drawings for DFM (design for manufacturability) considerations, flagging potential issues before you commit to tooling or production. We stock a broad range of steel grades and can typically source specialty materials within days. Prototype turnaround from drawing approval to finished parts is typically 5–15 business days depending on complexity. Customers in Troy, Auburn Hills, Sterling Heights, and Warren submit DXF/DWG/STEP files and receive prototype parts without the delays of multi-vendor coordination.

As your design matures and volume ramps, we transition the same part — the same tooling, the same programmed files, the same process documentation — into production.
