    (2) TRUMPF TruBend 2100 Press Brakes — Steel Processing Equipment

    Overview

Ameristeel operates two TRUMPF TruBend 2100 press brakes, providing high-force bending capacity for larger, heavier parts with modern CNC controls.

    Operations & Applications

These two TruBend 2100 press brakes work alongside our TruBend 3066 to give Ameristeel three press brakes for high-capacity forming. The 2100 series machines handle heavier gauge materials and longer parts, with powerful hydraulic systems and modern CNC controls for precise, repeatable bending. Having two identical machines allows us to run parallel forming operations, significantly reducing lead times on production orders. Each TruBend 2100 delivers 110 tons of press force across a 120-inch bending length, enabling Ameristeel to form heavy-gauge steel plates and oversized panels that exceed the capacity of our TruBend 3066. The hydraulic drive provides smooth, controlled ram movement for consistent bend angles even on thick materials where springback variation can be significant. Both machines are programmed through TruTops Boost, maintaining the same digital workflow as our laser cutting and other forming operations for seamless job tracking and quality documentation. The dual-machine configuration is particularly valuable for production orders where we dedicate one press brake to a long-running job while keeping the second available for quick-turn and prototype work, ensuring no single project monopolizes our forming capacity. The 120-inch bed length accommodates large panels used in heavy equipment, transportation, and architectural applications, reducing the need for seam welding on parts that would otherwise require joining multiple smaller formed sections.

This forming equipment equipment operates at Ameristeel's Michigan steel fabrication facilities, serving automotive manufacturers and metal fabricators throughout Southeast Michigan and the greater Metro Detroit region.

    Why Choose Ameristeel

With two identical TruBend 2100 press brakes operating in parallel, Ameristeel can handle heavy-gauge forming and high-volume production orders simultaneously. The 110-ton, 120-inch capacity means we bend larger, heavier parts in-house that many shops have to send out, saving you time and money. The dual-machine setup also provides built-in redundancy — if one machine is down for maintenance, the other keeps your production running without interruption. Combined with our TruBend 3066 for smaller precision work, Ameristeel's three-press-brake forming department can match the right machine to every job, optimizing cycle time and cost. Our operators are cross-trained on all three press brakes and experienced with a wide range of materials, including high-strength low-alloy steels and stainless steel grades that require careful attention to springback compensation and bend radius control.
